Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to control it.

01In short
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We use them to keep you signed in, keep your session secure, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. Only strictly necessary cookies are set by default — everything else waits for your consent.
02Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the Platform to function. They keep you authenticated, protect against cross-site request forgery, balance server load and remember your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off, and the Platform will not work correctly without them.
Functional
Remember preferences such as language, saved form progress and display settings, so you do not have to re-enter them. Declining these means some conveniences stop working.
Analytics
Help us understand which pages and features are used, where people encounter difficulty, and how the Platform performs. We use this to improve the product. Wherever possible, analytics data is aggregated or de-identified.
Marketing
Measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and, where applicable, show relevant information about our Services. These are set only if you consent.
03Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use, such as analytics providers, payment gateways and embedded content. Those parties process data under their own policies, and we recommend reviewing them. We only enable non-essential third-party cookies after you consent.
04Similar technologies
Alongside cookies we may use local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits in our mobile apps. They serve the same purposes described here and are covered by the same choices.
05Your choices
- When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining is as easy as accepting.
- You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the Platform footer.
- Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
- Mobile operating systems provide controls for advertising identifiers in their privacy settings.
Withdrawing consent
Withdrawing consent stops further collection through non-essential cookies. It does not undo processing that already took place lawfully while your consent was active.
06How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period — typically no longer than 13 months for analytics and marketing — after which they expire or you are asked to confirm your choice again.
07Cookies and personal data
Where information collected through cookies constitutes personal data, we handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including your rights of access, correction, erasure and withdrawal of consent.
08Changes to this Policy
We update this Policy when the cookies we use change. The current version, with its date and version number, is always available here. Questions can go to support@efiletax.in.
