Now Aadhaar-PAN linking timeline is 30-06-2020.
It was earlier announced 31st March 2020, Due to covid19 extended.
Pan Card is mandatory to file income tax returns, 10 digits alphanumeric number issued by an income tax department governed by govt of India
Aadhaar number is a 12-digit random number issued by the UIDAI (“Authority”) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enrol to obtain Aadhaar number.
Why do I require to link aadhaar and pan card?
Yes anyone having PAN and aadhaar should be linked on or before 30-06-2020.
The Supreme Court in its review on September 26, 2018, supported the constitutional validity of the Aadhaar and made it mandatory to link certain documents with Aadhaar Card, PAN card is one of them.
Under Section 139AA of the Income Tax Act, all existing PAN holders and new applicants have to forcibly link the Aadhaar Card for filing returns starting FY 2019-20. The Central Board of Direct Taxes extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar to June 30, 2020.

Linking by SMS
Type UIDPAN <Space><12 Digit Aadhaar No.><Space><10 Digit PAN> and send a SMS to 567678 or 56161
For example- UIDPAN 010102020303AVWPJ8687L
You have income tax login details you could log in and select the Pan aadhaar linking option and like by entering your aadhaar name and aadhaar number
In case your pan name or Date Of Birth (DOB) varies from aadhaar you have to correct it either in PAN or Aadhaar.
Any Changes in Pan card can be done in vising Pan centre or Pancardapplyonline.com
Any mismatch in Aadhaar Has to visit Aadhaar centre to correct the same.
However, this service is not free of charge, unlike other online services. An individual is required to pay the prescribed fees.
