The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has extended the last date for online empanelment of members to act as observers for the November/December 2023 CA exams up to 10th September 2023. The earlier deadline was 25th August 2023.
The ICAI has taken this decision to give more time to the members who are interested in becoming observers for the exams. The observers play an important role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams and maintaining the integrity of the process.
To be eligible to become an observer, the member must have passed the CA Final examination and have at least five years of post-qualification experience. The member must also be a member in good standing of the ICAI.
The empanelment process is online and can be completed through the ICAI website. The interested members can apply by clicking on the link “Empanelment of Observers” on the website.
The ICAI will shortlist the eligible members and will notify them about their selection. The selected members will be required to attend a training program before they can be deployed as observers for the exams.
The ICAI has also announced that the November/December 2023 CA exams will be held from 1st to 30th December 2023. The admit cards for the exams will be released in the first week of December 2023.
This is a great opportunity for CA members who are interested in contributing to the profession and helping to ensure the smooth conduct of the CA exams. If you are interested in becoming an observer, I encourage you to apply before the deadline of 10th September 2023.
